I’m curious about career paths for working abroad. Why do many people pursue a Master’s abroad instead of gaining work experience and then applying for mid-level/senior roles? Will a few years of experience give me a better chance of landing a job abroad compared to applying as a fresh graduate after completing a Master’s degree in that country?
There’s no single right answer. A Master’s abroad can be a fast track to certain careers, especially if you’re targeting specific industries or roles that value those credentials. Plus, it gets your foot in the door in that country. Work experience is valuable, but sometimes it doesn’t translate directly across borders.
