Hi All
I have some questions regarding the verification of documents via APS (consulate) and VPD (Uni-Assist).
Quick background - Indian National with Bachelors Degree(Full time) and Master degree (Distance learning)
-
For applying Master’s degree I am eligible based on my Bachelor’s degree. Is it necessary or obligatory for me to verify the masters degree too for APS or VPD? Just from the processing time point, it may take more time if I add masters.
-
For applying to masters what documents do I require to verify for APS? Does APS require any of the documents like transcripts in sealed envelopes?
-
Is IELTS necessary for APS?
I would appreciate if any one can suggest on the above matters.
Thanks in Advance.
Hello @JJ_Singh ,
For applying to a Master’s program, you do not need to verify your distance-learning Master’s degree if your eligibility is based on your Bachelor’s degree; you can proceed with verifying only your Bachelor’s documents, which will also help avoid extra processing time. For APS, you typically need to submit your Bachelor’s degree certificate, mark sheets/transcripts, passport copy, and your 10th and 12th certificates along with the application form and fee payment proof -sealed envelopes required when you have to send your documens to APS Office. Additionally, IELTS is not required for APS, as it is only used for academic verification; however, you will need IELTS (or another accepted language test) later when applying to universities.
Do you know what is the current processing time for APS? Also if my university degree is not available on Digilocker and if I am an old graduate with no contact with professor how can I help APS for verification of the degree?
Hello @JJ_Singh ,
APS processing usually takes 3–6 weeks. If your degree isn’t on DigiLocker and you can’t contact professors, provide official university contact details and transcripts so APS can verify directly. I strongly suggest reaching out to the current university staff handling records - they just need to confirm via email to APS that you were a student and your academic details are correct. Nothing more than that.
