Will this be an issue while applying for schools or a visa?

I mistakenly said I’ve been studying in English as my first language all through school, mainly because I only speak English and am better at it than my mother tongue. Could this cause problems when applying for schools or a visa later, especially in Germany or other countries? (I’ve checked, and I can’t change this information now.)

My qualifications: I’m in the 8th semester of my BTech.
