Thoughts on UNICRI’s LLM programs?

Anyone looked into UNICRI and the kind of LLMs they offer? I’m a bit confused if it’s actually worth it or more of a niche thing? Can’t find many reviews online either. Would love some honest views, esp from ppl who’ve considered it or know someone who went there ?

Hey @chhavi2003 Great that you’re looking into UNICRI. I actually applied for their Master of Laws in Transnational Crime and Justice and got accepted, so I’ve done quite a bit of research on it. The program is definitely more niche compared to regular LL.M.s, but it has a strong focus on international criminal law, human rights, and justice systems. It’s run in collaboration with the UN and the University for Peace, and the teaching is quite practical, with students from all over the world. If you’re interested in working with international organizations, NGOs, or the UN, it’s a valuable course.

i looked into it last year when i was checking out international law courses… so UNICRI is part of the UN system, based in Turin, Italy. They offer a joint LLM with the University for Peace (UPEACE) in transnational crime & justice. It’s a 1-year program, mostly practical stuff—think UN roles, NGOs, legal consultancy etc. But it’s super specialized, so def not like a general LLM. Good for students who are into human rights, criminal law, peacekeeping, that sort of path.
