Masters from IIT vs MS in USA: which one makes more sense for a CS student?

So I’m doing CS from Mumbai University rn and I’ve been hearing diff stuff from ppl around. Some say if u can get into a decent IIT for masters, that’s better than going abroad and spending tons of money. Others are like MS in US is 100x better coz of exposure, job market, etc. IDK what’s true. Anyone here gone through the same? What would u choose if u were me?

Been in the same boat last year. Honestly if your target is research or teaching in India then IIT is solid. Name holds a lot of weight here + cheaper + u can prep for govt roles too. But if you see yourself working in product or tech companies abroad, MS in US opens more doors. placements, internships, and international experience… big plus.
