I wanna study outside india after school but have no idea how this works like GRE is for masters right?? so how do ppl go for undergrad? is SAT still needed? pls help… anyone who’s done abroad studies after 12th can explain?
Yo same here was literally googling this yesterday. from what i saw, u need to apply directly to unis in countries like us, uk, canada etc. they have diff process…like in US u usually write SAT (optional in some unis), do english test like IELTS/TOEFL, and then apply on portals like common app.
For undergrad after 12th, the main thing you’ll likely need is the SAT or sometimes the ACT. And any test that proves your English Proficiency. Think of them like entrance exams for universities in the US and some other countries. You take one of those tests, apply to the universities you like (they’ll have their own requirements, so check those!).
To explain concisely:
Figure out where you want to go
Research requirements
Prep for tests
Work on applications
Apply!
Get accepted (hopefully!)
Sort out visa stuff
Plan your move
This entire process takes atleast 6 months to 1 year if you do it independently and can be a little shorter with a college counselor’s help.
