I gave a PTE mock n got a score but I don’t really get how they calculate the band thing?? Like what is the band score?? does it depend on each section or overall?? anyone got a pte score chart in bands or something??
Samee I was confused too 
PTE doesn’t really use bands like IELTS but ppl just convert them to understand it better… like a 90 in PTE is kinda like band 9 in IELTS, 65 is like band 7 ish.
There’s this pte score chart in bands online that shows the conversion.
Okay so basically u get a score outta 90 in each section – speaking, writing, reading, listening.
Then they also give u an overall score based on that.
But the band people talk abt is usually a comparison, not from PTE directly, just to match IELTS kinda thing
I think it’s not just avg of 4 sections?
Some say PTE has enabling skills too like grammar, pronunciation etc and those somehow affect the main scores
so the scoring is a bit algorithm based?? idk it’s not super transparent tbh

like I got 85 in speaking but my pronunciation was like 60 
so that pulled my overall down I think
pte is more like AI checks u on tiny things also…so weird
