As not being a native English speaker, how challenging is it likely to be for me to get an 8 on the IELTS?

It definitely is a challenge, but it something which is not achievable! Millions of non-native speakers get 8 or higher. It’s all about targeted preparation and focusing on the specific skills they assess.
