Dropping Classes
Can I just drop a class without letting my advisor know? I want to drop the class because it interferes with my work schedule and attendance is mandatory. Realistically I would rather work cause tuition is not paying itself… I would still be a full time student if I dropped that class so I’m not worried about losing my scholarships and all that. The only thing that kind of bugs me into not dropping it is that it’s part of my degree and I think I need to take it before I do an ADV class (which would be next semester FALL 2024) but the course I want to take doesn’t require that class. Please help sooth my dilema 
Are you enrolled in winter classes? If so, check with your advisor. If the class is for the spring semester, you can drop it yourself. However, if it’s a prerequisite, look for another section so you don’t set graduation back a semester. You can swap sections on your own.
