The United States continues to attract a majority of international students into STEM courses in the USA, with more than 57% of international students enrolled in STEM programs during the 2024-25 academic year, according to the Open Doors Report 2025 published by the Institute of International Education and the U.S. Department of State. The report further states that the Indian students represent the highest number of international students, with more than 360,000 Indian students in the US, and most of them in STEM.
